Science year projects

For HHU as a citizens’ university, the science years funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) are a great opportunity to bring the university’s research closer to the people in Düsseldorf and beyond, and to engage in an exchange with all interested parties. To this end, we work with local partners to spark people’s interest in science and discuss solutions to the challenges of our time.

Each year, there is a new topic at the heart of the science years. The theme of the science year 2023 was “Our Universe” and 2024, “Freedom”. HHU successfully acquired projects in both years. You can find all the information here.
