Networking
Good science communication thrives on dialogue – including among researchers themselves. To promote networking around the topic of science communication within HHU, the Public Engagement Unit organises the annual Science Communication Breakfast.
The core of the event is a panel discussion with one or more members of HHU who report on their experiences as actively communicating scientists. In dialogue with the guest speaker and during the breakfast that follows, there is an opportunity to learn from each other, exchange best practices, and develop new ideas. The event is aimed at researchers as well as scientific managers and communicators at HHU.
The next Science Communication Breakfast will take place on 28 January 2026. The guest will be the legal expert Professor Dr Helmut Frister, Chairman of the German Ethics Council. Registration is possible until 21 January 2026, at buergeruni(at)hhu.de.
Previous guests at the Breakfast:
Professor Dr Stefan Marschall, Professor of Political Science and former Vice President for International Relations and Science Communication (2019 - 2024)
