“Bürgeruniversität in der Lehre” Funding Programme

The society-oriented teaching programme “Bürgeruniversität in der Lehre” supports socially relevant teaching projects involving external cooperation partners and the public. The following teaching and learning formats are eligible for funding: teaching and science communication, service learning and research-oriented learning in/with society.

The projects funded via the programme are aimed at promoting skill acquisition and personal development among students by involving external cooperation partners and the public. Close links between teaching and transfer activities are also intended to facilitate the transition to the non-academic job market. The programme also gives students the opportunity to reflect on societal problems and acquire skills in communicating scientific knowledge.
