University and State Library (ULB)

The ULB is open to students, academics and citizens until midnight every day, including weekends. It provides more than 2.5 million print media and a constantly growing number of e-books, e-journals and databases. By taking over the holdings of the former Landes- und Stadtbibliothek Düsseldorf, the library not only has access to current study and research literature, but also to extensive historical holdings and numerous collections, which it regularly presents in exhibitions. As one of three state libraries in NRW, the ULB also collects regional literature and is committed to the preservation of cultural heritage. In addition to on-site services, the library offers digital services via its website (see link on the right).
